MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistani spinners Abrar Ahmed and Zahid Mahmood have sent the English lineup back to the pavilion at paltry 281 on the first day of the second Test in Multan.

Debutant Abrar took seven wickets while Zahid chipped in with three. England were at 245 for nine after that the tail-enders of English side took the charge as Mark Wood hit eight fours to score 36 runs. But Zahid claimed James Anderson’s wicket when he was trying to sweep the shot. The ball hit the leg stump and Zahid plucked his third wicket.

Zak Crawley departed at 19, Ducket 63, Pope 60, Joe Root 8 and Harry Brook managed to add nine runs to the team’s 180. Meanwhile, Team England lost nine wickets soon after the lunch.

Earlier, England won the toss and opted to bat first. The visiting side is leading the series 1-0.
