I don't convince Babar for marriage for fear of losing our pair, reveals Rizwan

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan said he did not convince Pakistan skipper Babar Azam for marriage for fear of losing his pair with the captain.

A video went viral on social media of a dinner arranged for the national team by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), wherein the vice captain of Pakistan’s red-ball team was asked about the secret of Babar and his pair. He replied, “The secret behind our pair’s success is our trust on each other and I also don’t convince him for marriage that I will lose my pair with him.”

Babar and Rizwan have the highest-scoring partnership in Men’s T20I history by some distance, combining to put 2,509 runs on the board when together at the crease for Pakistan in the format – 621 more than any other pair. Their average as a pair is at 51.20.
