Abrar debuts as Pakistan look to bounce back
MULTAN (Dunya News) - After Rawalpindi, Pakistan is all set to face England in the second Test match in Multan today (Friday).
Young spinner Abrar Ahmed to debut for Pakistan and Faheem Ashraf has been included in the playing eleven. Azhar Ali has also been dropped for the second match and Mohammad Nawaz has replaced him.
England opted to bat first after winning the toss. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam said they would have opted to bat first if they had won the toss.
Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the remainder of the test series against England. The 29-year old, who made his debut in the first test, stepped on the ball while fielding on the first day in Rawalpindi, leading to a Grade-II strain in his right quad.
Haris will now travel to Lahore where he will begin his rehabilitation at the National High Performance Centre.
England lead the three match series by 1-0.
