Naseem out of England series, to participate in triangular series: PCB

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistani key pacer Naseem Shah has been ruled out of Pakistan vs England seven-match T20I series as he contracted Covid-19.

The young pacer was rushed to hospital earlier as it was feared that he has viral infection. Firstly, it was told by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that he has been diagnosed with pneumonia but he was later announced that he has contracted Coronavirus.

The hospital administration sent the cricketer to the team hotel after two days of isolation but later it was told by the PCB that Nasem has been sent to home for rest.

Naseem is out of the Pakistan vs England T20 International series. However, the cricket board has confirmed that he will participate in the triangular T20I series against New Zealand and Bangladesh.

The fast bowler will leave for New Zealand with the team on Sunday as his isolation period will come to an end on Saturday.

According to the board’s spokesperson, the PCB’s medical panel will continue evaluating Naseem Shah’s health.
