BCCI invites bids for live streaming of matches in India

The BCCI has invited bids for live streaming of matches on the internet and on mobile phones.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids for live streaming of Tests, ODIs and T20 internationals, to be played in India between October this year and March 2014, on the internet and on mobile phones.While the live streaming on the internet would be with a five-minute delay within India, it would be without such delay over the rest of the world as well as on mobile phones, the tender notice issued by the BCCI said.The last date for submission of bids is September six. BCCI has fixed Rs three crore per match as the base price and is scheduled to host 17 Tests, 29 ODIs and two T20 internationals during the period for which the rights would be given.At the base price of Rs three crore per match that the Board has set for the rights, it works out to Rs 144 crore.The Test matches include a series against arch-rivals Pakistan too, to be held in March-April next year, as per the International Cricket Councils Future Tours Programme.BCCI is also set to host big teams Australia and England for four Tests, seven ODIs and one T20 International apiece between October this year and October, 2013.
