KPL: Muzzaffarabad Tigers beat Bagh Stallions in high scoring thriller

MUZZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) - Muzzaffarabad Tigers defeated Bagh Stallions by four wickets in a high scoring game in the 12th match of the first edition of Kashmir Premier League (KPL) at the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

Batting first, Bagh Stallions piled up a mammoth total of 213 runs for the loss of four wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed was their top run-getter with 86 runs with the help of four boundaries and eight towering sixes. Shan Masood also scored a half century. His 65 runs in 40 ball included four fours and four sixes.

Mohammad Hafeez with two wickets for 24 runs was most successful bowler for the Muzzaffarabad Tigers while Sohail Tanvir and Usama Mir got one wicket each.

In reply, Muzzaffarabad Tigers reached the target in 18.4 overs for the loss of six wickets. Sohaib Maqsood (59), Anwar Ali (43*) and Muhammad Wasim (31*) guided their side to victory.

In the second match of the day, Overseas Warriors defeated Rawalakot Hawks by seven wickets on D/L method.
