PCB wants to hold PSL 6 matches with limited spectators under covid SOPs.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has on Tuesday contacted the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) to seek permission for limited spectators in the 2021 Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches.

The league administration is looking forward to hold the PSL matches in the presence of spectators in limited numbers following the coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs). The PCB has also released tender for ticketing services. Playoffs of the 2020 edition were played without crowds due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani had earlier said: “Fans always supported the PSL and played a significant role in making it a success in every edition. In this edition as well, we will try to convince the government to allow a fixed number of crowd, who may watch the matches strictly following the COVID-19 SOPs set by the government.”

The sixth edition of the PSL will begin on February 20 when Karachi Kings will launch bid to defend their title at home – the National Stadium Karachi – against former champions Quetta Gladiators. The final will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on March 22.
