KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi marked the Defence Day by visiting Pakistan Air Force pilot Marium Mukhtiar Shaheed’s home along with wife.
Shahid Afridi said Marium Mukhtiar made the nation proud in a very young age, and she will always be remembered. The star cricketer said it was an amazing experience to hear about Marium’s bravery and courage.

Marium Mukhtiar Shaheed’s mother said she was very pleased upon Shahid Afridi’s visit.
Defence Day is celebrated on September 6 every year. It was on this day in 1965 that Indian forces crossed international border in the darkness of night to attack Pakistan but the nation and the armed forces foiled the nefarious designs of the enemy.
