Watson, Rossouw guide Gladiators to eight-wicket win

Quetta Gladiators beat Multan Sultans by eight wickets in the PSL-4 on Wednesday.

SHARJAH (Dunya News) – Shane Watson and Rilee Rossouw hit sparkling fifties as Quetta Gladiators defeated Multan Sultans by eight wickets in the 8th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Watson scored 61 and Rossouw remained unbeaten at 67 as Quetta Gladiators registered their third consecutive victory in the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League.





Quetta Gladiators reached the target of 161 set by Multan Sultans for the loss of just two wickets in 18.3 overs. Rossouw remained unbeaten at 67 and Umar Akmal remained not out after making

Earlier, Multan Sultans who were put in to bat first by Quetta Gladiators after winning the toss were restricted to 160 for the loss of nine wickets in their quota of 20 overs.



Multan Sultans captain Shoaib Malik batted aggressively after the top three batsmen failed to give their side a solid start. Shoaib scored 53 runs in 37 deliveries with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.

Shan Masood (18), Vince (28), Evans (10), Christian (18), Russell (18) were the other main contributors in Multan Sultans inning. Big hitting Shahid Afridi failed to open his account in this match.

Muhammad Irfan (Jr) and Ghulam Mudassar bowled were for Quetta Gladiators and grabbed two wickets each while Sohail Tanveer, Muhammad Nawaz and Fawad Ahmed got one wicket each.



Shane Watson was declared man of the match for his batting performance.
