After opting to bat, Zalmi were to a cautious start. Despite losing Hafeez early, Akmal hammered Kings’ bowlers all-over the ground. He made 75 runs on just 51 balls.

Following Akmal’s departure, skipper Darren Sammy continued the momentum and his 15-ball-36 lifted Zalmi to 181 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
