WELLINGTON (Daily Dunya) – Tom Blundell has become New Zealand’s first wicketkeeper-batsman to have scored a Test century on debut, Roznama Dunya reported on Monday.

According to details, Blundell became fifth wicketkeeper-batsman after Romesh Kaluwitharana, Brendon Kuruppu, Matt Prior and Umar Akmal to have achieved this feat, and 105th player overall.

Tom Blundell also beat Luke Ronchi’s record for New Zealand who had scored 88 runs on his Test debut against England.
