Lahore Blues defeated Lahore Whites by seven wickets in final match of National T20 Cup

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Lahore Blues have clinched the National T20 Cup title by defeating Lahore Whites by seven wickets in the final match played on Thursday.

Imam-ul-Haq scored an unbeaten 59 of 49 balls to guide his team to victory. Ahmed Shehzad and Mohammad Hafeez also contributed with 22 and 33 runs respectively.

Lahore Whites won the toss and batted first to posted a humble total of 127 for the loss of five wickets in its 20 overs of batting. Atif Jabbar picked two for 24 in his four-over spell. Aizaz Cheema, Khalid Usman and Agha Salman all took one wicket each.

In reply, the Lahore B side comfortably accomplished the target in 17.3 overs.

Both the Lahore teams had qualified for the final of T20 tournament. Lahore Whites and Lahore Blues triumphed over the other two semi-finalists Faisalabad and FATA, respectively.


PCB rescheduled semis, final


Pakistan Cricket Board had rescheduled the semi-finals and final match of National T20 Cup amid political tensions in the twin tensions due to Tehreek-e-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah protests.

The final match was initially scheduled on November 27, before PCB rescheduled it to November 30 after the countrywide chaos settled.
