Indian skipper averaged 51.6 in 5 matches of the Champions Trophy

WEB DESK – Indian skipper Virat Kohli despite of piling up huge scores at the Champions Trophy 2017 has failed to make it to Champions Trophy XI picked up by former English captain Michael Vaughan.

However, both of the Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were included in Vaughan’s XI owing to their marvelous performance in the tournament.

Indian skipper averaged 51.6 in 5 matches of the Champions Trophy as he scored 258 runs in total and has also been named in the Champions Trophy XI declared by the ICC.

While excluding Kohli, Michael Vaughan stated that no sensible Indian fan would include Virat Kohli in the line-up.

The Champions Trophy XI picked up by Michael Vaughan include three English player i.e., Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Adil Rashid while Hasan Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, Fakhar Zaman and Junaid Khan have been chosen from Pakistani squad.

Sarfraz has also been honored by Michael Vaughan with leading the side. Shakib Al Hasan is only Bangladeshi players to be included in the squad.
