LAHORE (Dunya News) – Suspended fast bowler Mohammad Irfan did not inform Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) anti-corruption unit (ACU) about bookies owing to the threats that he was receiving, revealed Dunya News on Thursday.

According to details, Mohammad Irfan was warned that he would suffer severe consequences if he does not do what the bookies want.

Furthermore, the bookmakers threatened Irfan that they know where his children live, and kept on pressurizing Irfan to commit the wrongdoings for them.

It is worth mentioning here that the tall fast bowler was banned from all formats of the game on Wednesday for one year by PCB for not informing PCB ACU about the bookies.

He was also fined Rs one million by the board. According to sources, Irfan has decided to appeal against the fine.
