In a tweet quoting Murtaza Ali Shahs tweet, PSL chairman came up with this tounge-in-cheek comment

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman Najam Sethi has on Monday termed the holding of Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore as the ‘mother of all punctures’ in a tounge-in-cheek comment on Twitter.

Senior journalist Murtaza Ali Shah had thanked Sethi in a tweet ‘for delivering the real ’35 punctures’ to haters n hooligans who failed in their bad to stop cricket from coming 2 Pak’.

Quoting the tweet, Najam Sethi tweeted ‘mother of all punctures???’.

The pun was obvious here as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan repeatedly issued statements against holding the final in Lahore and went as far as terming it an attempt to influence the court in Panama Leaks case while talking to ARY News the other day.

The tussle between the two men has been quite a regular feature ever since the holding of 2013 elections when Najam Sethi was the interim chief minister of Punjab and Imran Khan’s party had failed to put up an impressive show in the province. Imran had alleged that Sethi had applied ’35 punctures’, implying that the elections were rigged by him in 35 constituencies of Punjab.

The statement was never proven however, and Imran Khan had termed it a ‘political statement’ during an interview with Hamid Mir.
