Lahore is set to host the match of the big cricket event on March 5

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Cricket authority has dispatched invitations for final match of Pakistan Super League 2017 to former national leg-spinner Abdul Qadir, former skipper Javed Miandad among others except for Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan.

The development has come in a day after it was reported that Pakistan Cricket Board did not invite Miandad, Abdul Qadir, Imran Khan and former pacer Sarfraz Nawaz to attend the final match.

Imran, Abdul Qadir, Miandad not invited to PSL final

However, chief of an opposition party Imran Khan who led Pakistan eleven to win its only World Cup in 1992 has not been invited to witness the clash in Gaddafi Stadium on March 5 allegedly for his stance against holding the match in Lahore.

Lahore is set to host the match of the big cricket event that began on February 9 in Dubai with a grand opening ceremony.

Prices of tickets were reported hiking earlier this week while online tickets of two enclosures were cancelled owing to reasons yet to be confirmed.

Foreign players of Quetta Gladiators who qualified for the final namely Luke Wright, Kevin Pieterson and Rilee Rossouw among others refused to arrive in Lahore to play the match which is why Pakistani authorities initiated visa-issuing process of other foreign players who will play for Gladiators in their place.
