World T20 warm-up: Afridi goes for a duck again
Skipper disappointed fans as he was yet again dismissed without making any impact with the bat
KOLKATA (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s T20 captain Shahid Afridi departed for a golden duck in the warm-up match against Sri Lanka on Monday, reported Dunya News.
The match is being played at Eden Gardens cricket stadium, Kolkata, where the Men in Green after winning the toss, batted first and were able to put 157 runs on the board with the loss of five wickets. Mohammad Hafeez scored 70 runs off 49 balls.
Afridi holds the record for the being dismissed at zero for the most times in T20 matches. In World T20s, Afridi has been dismissed for a duck on 5 occasions.
The skipper was equally ineffective with the ball as well. He went on to concede 40 runs in the 4 overs he bowled and he did not pick any wicket.
But, to his luck, Pakistan was able to beat Sri Lanka by 15 runs in the match.
