Imran Khan, Wasim Akram to meet Pakistani team in India
Afridi contacted Khan and Akram, asked for advice regarding game-play for WT20
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Current captain of Pakistan’s T20 squad Shahid Afridi contacted former skippers Imran Khan and Wasim Akram asking for advice regarding game-play for the team to observe during the ICC World T20 to play in India, reported Dunya News.
Both ex-captains advised Afridi and the team to play aggressively and not to get influenced by any sort of pressure.
According to sources from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party’s chairman Imran Khan received a telephone call from Shahid Afridi before he along with the team departed for India and discussed the game strategy with Khan, the latter wished all the best to the Men in Green for their latest challenge.
Khan advised that the team should adopt an aggressive approach towards the game instead of a defensive one. He further added that the team must not get pressurised from the Indian crowd.
Afridi tweeted that he also contacted Wasim Akram as well to discuss the game strategy.
Both former legends will be travelling to Kolkata to meet the team and raise the players’ morale before their game against India on March 19.
