Shahid Afridi celebrates 36th birthday today

Shahid Afridi has represented Pakistan team in 27 Tests and 92 T20s.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The star player and Twenty20 captain Shahid Afridi is celebrating his 36th birthday today (Tuesday).

The player was born on March 1, 1980 in Khyber Agency and started career on October 2, 1996 by playing one-day against Kenya.

He  is regarded as one of the greatest big-hitting players of all time, where he has the longest six of any form of the game. He also holds  the record for most T20 international wickets with 91.

Afridi has also snatched the overall record for most sixes in all formats with 469. He also holds the most sixes in ODIs record with a distinct 351 to his name.

He is fourth highest to gets most runs off an over in an ODI with 32 runs in 2007 against Sri Lanka. Herschelle Gibbs holds the record with 36 runs.

Afridi has made fourth fastest Test fifty off 26 balls and has the most man-of-the-match awards in ODIs

Afridi has hit 8064 scores in 398 ODIs and has also grabbed 395 wickets.

Shahid Afridi has represented Pakistan team in 27 Tests and 92 T20s while he had retired from one-day cricket last year to add to his departure from the Test arena in 2010. He was due to retire from all international cricket after the World Twenty20 in India finishes in April.

But Afridi said he may continue playing Twenty20 cricket for his country.

The star player is now depressing the cricket lovers by his irresponsible batting and bowling while the fans are still hopeful of his stunning performance in T20 format before retirement.
