Summary New petrol price fixed at Rs374.51 and diesel at Rs395.20 per litre; revised rates effective for one day on November 3

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal government has announced a reduction in petroleum prices, cutting the price of high-speed diesel by Rs7.76 per litre and petrol by Rs3.40 per litre, according to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division on Monday.

Following the reduction, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs374.51 per litre, while high-speed diesel will now cost Rs395.20 per litre.

The revised prices are expected to provide some relief to consumers using petrol and diesel, particularly motorists and businesses dependent on petroleum products.

According to the Petroleum Division's notification, the price adjustment will remain effective for one day, November 3.

The reduction comes amid continued pressure on household budgets and businesses due to elevated fuel costs.

Petrol is widely used by private vehicles, motorcycles and small transport operators, while diesel is a major fuel for heavy transport, agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles.

The reduction in diesel prices could therefore offer some relief to transporters and other sectors that rely heavily on diesel-powered operations.
