Following the latest revision, the price of high-speed diesel has risen to Rs402.96 per litre, while petrol will continue to be sold at Rs377.91 per litre.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the revised prices will take effect from October 31 and remain in force until November 2.
Meanwhile, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has started publishing daily petroleum prices on its official website as part of efforts to improve transparency and ensure that fluctuations in international oil prices are reflected more promptly in domestic fuel rates.
Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said the daily price calculations were based on a seven-day average of international petroleum market rates, in line with international practices.
The move is aimed at making petroleum pricing more transparent and facilitating the timely adjustment of domestic fuel prices in response to changes in the global oil market.
