ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Pakistani freelancers have achieved a new milestone in the digital economy, recording the highest monthly foreign exchange earnings in the country's history in September 2026.
According to the figures, freelancers' export earnings reached a record $197 million last month, registering a 49% increase year-on-year and an 11% rise month-on-month in September 2026.
From July to September 2026, Pakistani freelancers earned $550 million through exports, marking a significant 46% increase in export earnings during the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
It is worth noting that Pakistani freelancers had previously earned a total of $1.76 billion in foreign exchange during fiscal year 2025-26.
