ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The IMF has said that the FBR's tax target for the next fiscal year has been estimated at Rs15,267billion.
According to the IMF, a target of Rs7,413billion for direct taxes, Rs1,043 billion for FED, Rs4,727billion for sales tax and Rs1,651billion for customs duty can be set.
The IMF said that during the next fiscal year, it is estimated that new taxes worth Rs430billion will be imposed on the public in the budget. It is estimated that Rs1,727billion will be allocated for petroleum levy during the next fiscal year.
The IMF stated that Rs2,768billion has been estimated in non-tax revenue for the next fiscal year. Rs7,824billion is estimated to be spent on interest payments during the next fiscal year, Rs6,652billion will be spent on interest payments on local loans and Rs1,107billion on external loans.
The IMF said during the next fiscal year, it is estimated that Rs2,665billion will be allocated for defense, Rs986billion will be spent under the PSDP programme in the next fiscal year, and Rs4,943billion in loans have been estimated for the next fiscal year.
