KARACHI (Dunya News) – The US dollar continued its downward trend against the Pakistani rupee on Tuesday, giving businesses and importers a small sigh of relief.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the greenback lost one paisa in interbank trading, closing at Rs 280.21 compared to the previous day’s Rs 280.22.

Analysts say the rupee’s gradual recovery is a welcome sign for the economy, although the changes are a drop in the bucket for larger trade and import bills.

Market watchers note that while the rupee is slowly regaining ground, there are still challenges ahead. Every little bit helps, they say, as businesses hope for further stability before the year ends.

The continuous easing of the dollar may offer some breathing room for importers and exporters in the final days of 2025, as the country bids farewell to a year of economic ups and downs.
