KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) recorded a dip after registering bullish momentum during early trading session on Wednesday

The KSE-100 index plunged by 665.22 points to 166,977.05, reflecting a decline of 0.4 percent compared to previous close of 167,642.27 points.

At the highest point of the day, the index reached 168,160.88, but it has since retreated from its earlier highs.

The market continues to remain open for trading, with fluctuations expected as the session progresses.

A day earlier, the benchmark index on Tuesday closed on a negative note, falling by 419.92 points, a decline of 0.25 percent, to settle at 167,642.28 points compared to 168,062.19 points on the previous trading day, according to PSX data.

During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 775.53 million shares with a traded value of Rs37.49 billion, down from 735.52 million shares valuing Rs46.18 billion in the previous session. Market capitalization slightly decreased to Rs19.031 trillion from Rs19.032 trillion.

Out of 479 active companies in the ready market, 182 closed higher, 254 declined, while 43 remained unchanged.
