State Bank announces two-day Muharram holidays

Banks will be closed on July 16, 17
(Web Desk) - The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that banks will be closed for two days on Muharram 9 and 10 (July 16 and 17, 2024).
The central bank announced the two-day holidays on account of Ashura next week.
The federal government also announced two-day public holidays for Muharram 9 and 10.
Muslims across the globe will observe the Ashura with grief and sorrow. In this regard, the government also approved the deployment of the Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces (CAF) across the country as a security measure during Muharram.
