ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Petrol and high-speed diesel prices are expected to decrease by up to Rs7.50 per litre for first fortnight of June 2024.

The drop in petroleum prices is expected due to downward trend in the international market where petrol and diesel prices had plunged by $3.25 and $2.10 per barrel.

The federal government is expected to cut the petrol price by Rs7.25 per litre and diesel price by Rs6.25 per litre in line with the decreasing global prices. The new prices will be announced on May 31 night.

The current rate of petrol in Pakistan stands at Rs273.10 per litre and diesel is sold for Rs274.08 per litre.

Currently, the government is receiving Rs82 per litre in wake of tax on petrol and high speed diesel.
