PM Kakar orders expediting PIA privatisation
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has directed the authorities to expedite the process of privatisation of the national flag career, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Chairing a meeting held Monday to review the financial crisis of the PIA, the prime minister stressed the completion of the privatisation process within the stipulated timeframe.
He also ordered submission of compliance reports on a regular basis to his office in this regard.
Kakar said the government would continue extending support to the PIA till the completion of its privatisation.

He said the state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that were facing financial loss would be privatised to save the national exchequer.
Earlier, the prime minister was given a briefing on the financial situation of the PIA.
