Two godowns sealed in raid on hoarders, profiteers

7,000 ghee cartons, 600 bags of sugar, 4,000 bags of urea seized
LARKANA (Dunya News) – In a crackdown on hoarders and profiteers, the district administration with the help of police and secret agencies seized 7,000 cartons of ghee, 600 sacks of sugar, 4,000 bags of urea and 350 sacks of wheat.
The district administration got information that some traders were hoarding sugar, ghee, wheat, and other edibles to create an artificial shortage of the goods to later sell them on exorbitant prices.
A raiding team was constituted comprising police, personnel of secret agencies and the members of district administration.
They raided two godowns and found huge quantity of commodities hoarded in the warehouses.
The hoarded things were taken into custody.
The godowns were sealed and efforts were being made to arrest the fleeing hoarders.
