Cash-strapped govt appoints Pakistan Software Export Board’s CEO on Rs 18 lakh per month

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Despite financial constraints, the federal government approved the appointment of Syed Ali Raza as the Pakistan Software Export Board’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on a package of Rs 18 lakh per month. Although the country is going through economic difficulties and austerity measures are being announced but such steps are not akin to reality.

The monthly basic salary of the CEO will be 9 lakh 67 thousand 742 rupees.

Moreover, the CEO will receive a house rent allowance of 4 lakh 35 thousand 484 rupees per month, utility bills of 96 thousand 774 rupees per month, a vehicle monetization allowance of 95 thousand 910 rupees, internet and mobile bill allowance of 15 thousand rupees, and medical facility allowance of 80 thousand 645 rupees. It is worth noting that the proposal to travel in business class for the CEO was denied. He will travel in economy class for both domestic and foreign tours.
