Government to take strict action against profiteering during Eid holidays
The authorities are conducting raids to curb overcharging
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The government have decided to take strict action against transporters involved in illegal profiteering from the passengers travelling back home to celebrate Eid with their beloved ones.
According to reports, the government have decided to take action against the transporters demanding additional fares from the passengers during Eid holidays. The exploitation of the passengers by transporters will not be tolerated and swift action would be be taken, said Assistant Comissioner Awaid Irshad.
According to reports, as the flow of passengers travelling back home soared, the transporters resorted to illegal profiteering. It would be worth mentioning that recently the PM issued special directions to curb illegal profiteering and the exploitation of masses.
