Power tariff to be increased if traders avoid early opening, closure of shops: Ahsan Iqbal
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Planning, Development and Initiative Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday said if the traders were not willing to open and close the shops early, the electricity would have to be very expensive at night.
In a statement, the minister said he didn t want to take strict measures in the first phase of the energy saving program, but if the traders were not willing to open and close the shops early, then electricity would have to be very expensive at night.
Rejecting PTI s white paper, Iqbal said money was coming from Saudi Arabia, while debt from China was going to be rolled over, adding Pakistan won t default.
The PML-N leader said the IMF would be completing the program and that the financial position would improve in coming six months.
He said the government had decided to privatize the state institutions.
