US dollar loses ground against rupee in interbank

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s rupee continued its winning streak against the US dollar, and recorded a minor appreciation on first business day of the week.

According to details, the local currency appreciated by 34 paisa against the greenback which was being traded around 220.5. The rupee had closed at Rs220.84 on Friday, according to Pakistan’s central bank data.

With the fresh appreciation, the rupee has cumulatively recovered by Rs19.44 from its record low of Rs239.94 against the dollar.
