US Dollar continues upward trajectory, rises to Rs 201.92 in interbank market
KARACHI (Dunya News) – US Dollar closed at historic high against Pakistani Rupee (PKR) after rising by 51 paisa in the Interbank on Wednesday.
Weakening macros has kept the dollar demand elevated as the greenback closed at Rs 201.92 on third business day of the week.
The local currency is being weighed by depleting foreign exchange reserves and uncertainty over the resumption of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program.
Since the arrival of new government the dollar has gained more than Rs18 against the local currency.
