Rupee gains 11 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs164.08

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar weakened by 11 paisa in the interbank on Tuesday against Pakistani rupee.

The greenback closed at Rs164.08 on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of Rs164.19.

Since start of August, dollar has risen by 41 paisa. However, the greenback has lost 4.35 rupees or 2.62 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.

Meanwhile, the price of euro depreciated by 37 paisa and closed at Rs193.17 against the last working day’s trading of Rs193.54 the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.5, whereas a decrease of Rs1.07 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs226.53 as compared to its last closing of Rs227.60.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal depreciated by about 3 paisa each to close at Rs44.67 and Rs43.75 respectively.
