Rupee continued losing streak against dollar, shed another Rs1.24 in interbank

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistani rupee continued the losing streak against the US dollar on Monday and shed another Rs1.24 in the interbank.

The Pakistani rupee dropped to its lowest value against the US dollar in almost 9 months after a 0.76 per cent fall in inter-bank trading today. This has been the lowest level of the local currency against the greenback for nine and half months.

Pakistani rupee has been depreciated by 3.9 per cent since July 1, 2021.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the Pakistani currency finished at Rs163.67 as the greenback last touched the 163 mark against the PKR back in October 2020.

Meanwhile, Dollar has dropped by 1.50 rupees at open market and being traded around 164.20 rupees in open market.
