Rupee gains 15 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs153.18

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar fell by 15 paisa in the interbank on Wednesday against Pakistani rupee.

The greenback closed at Rs153.18 on third business day of the week compared to previous closing of 153.33.

However, since start of March, dollar has declined by 4.85 rupees or 3.1 percent. The greenback has lost 15.25 rupees or 9.48 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.

Meanwhile, the price of euro was appreciated by 86 paisa and closed at Rs182.06 against the last working day’s trading of Rs181.20, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.39, whereas a decrease of 58 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs211.85 as compared to its last closing of Rs212.43.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 4 paisa each to close at Rs41.70 and Rs40.84 respectively.
