NEPRA notifies 64 paisa per unit increase in power tariff
The hike will add an additional burden of Rs4.40 billion on power consumers.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has notified 64 paisa per unit increase in power tariff under the fuel adjustment mechanism for the month of February 2021.
As per details, the increase in power tariff by the government will add an additional burden of Rs4.40 billion on power consumers; however, the change in the tariff is not applicable on K-Electric and lifeline consumers.
The notification issued by the authority states that during the period, the production cost of electricity was Rs4.78 per unit while the reference cost of electricity was Rs4.14 per unit.
