Minimum support price of wheat has been fixed at 1800 rupees per 40 kg: Shibli
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Senator Shibli Faraz has said that the government is committed to uplift farmers and ensure the supply of wheat at low price in the country.
In a statement, he said the minimum support price of wheat has been fixed at 1800 rupees per 40 kg for current season in order to facilitate the farmers’ community.
He said the announcement of subsidy for cheap flour is a clear proof of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s farmer-friendly policies.
Shibli Faraz said that progress of the country and the development of the agricultural sector are linked to the prosperity of the farmers, which is mission of the Prime Minister.
He said the banking credit lines for wheat purchases would be available only to flour mills and those registered with the government.
