Fall in dollar will reduce debt pressure on Pakistan by nearly Rs140 billion.

KARACHI (Web Desk) – The exchange rate of US Dollar weakened by 33 paisa in the interbank on Thursday against Pakistani rupee.

The greenback closed at Rs158.93 rupees on fourth business day of the week. Since the start of February dollar is down by Rs1.29 rupee or 0.8 percent.

Fall in dollar will reduce debt pressure on Pakistan by nearly Rs140 billion.

A day earlier, rupee had also gained against greenback which closed at 159.26 in the interbank market on Wednesday.

It is to be mentioned here that Pakistani Rupee appreciates when lesser amount of rupees are required to get one USD. On the other hand, PKR depreciates when more rupees are required to get one greenback.
