ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Wednesday approved a technical supplementary grant of Rs5 billion for the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and delayed the recommendation for a hike in power tariffs for K-Electric consumers.
Importantly, the meeting also approved recommendations for increasing remittances into the country through legal channels.
Moreover, the ECC approved a grant for Internal Security Duty Allowance for Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
Furthermore, the committee also validated Rs15 million for Strategic Development Planning Cell.
The meeting was presided over by Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
