Pakistan receives US$1 billion deposit from UAE

Doctor Najeeb went on to say that foreign exchange reserves has improved with this money

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan received US$1 billion from United Arab Emirates (UAE) which will help out in bringing stability in balance of payments whereas foreign exchange reserves have reached to almost sixteen billion dollars.

In a press release from Islamabad, Spokesperson for Finance Minister, Doctor Khaqan Najeeb stated that United Arab Emirates approved US$3 billion for Pakistan in January and has deposited US$1 billion in the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) account.

Pakistan will receive US$1 billion in this regard. Doctor Khaqan Najeeb said that deposit of US$1 billion will prove helpful in fulfilling the responsibility of international payments and it will also increase the foreign exchange reserves.

He said that having this money is a milestone in the economic field.

Doctor Najeeb went on to say that foreign exchange reserves has improved with this money and it will reduce the pressure in international payments of Pakistan.

“The effective results of the government policies are seen owing to its good strategic and reliable steps in the field of financial management,” he added.
