Govt to change CNG price in Sindh
According to the new price, CNG will be sold by Rs.48.20 instead of Rs. 66.5 per litre
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – After Punjab, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) price will be changed in Sindh as well. Moreover, standard measuring unit of gas has been changed to litre from kgs, reported Dunya News on Thursday.
Sources revealed that from August 6 onwards, CNG in Sindh will be sold in litres instead of kgs. According to the new price, CNG will be sold by Rs 48.20 instead of Rs 66.5 per litre.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) officials stated that according to the planned price strategy, CNG price in Sindh was maintained to Rs 42 per litre but the users will be charged an additional amount of Rs 6 per litre.
Officials also said that CNG pump owners had been earning an additional profit of Rs 6 due to change in measuring unit from kgs to litre. Change in CNG price mechanism had not been approved by OGRA which was against the law.
