Direct foreign investment rises to 39%

The experts believed that in accordance with CPEC, investment in Pakistan faced a major boom

KARACHI (Dunya News) – State Bank on Wednesday revealed that foreign investment for the year 2016 reached to USD 1 billion and 280 million while it was recorded as USD 920 million in 2015, reported Dunya News.

In the previous fiscal year, a total foreign investment with a reduction of 64pc, reached to USD 950 million while during the present year international investors transacted USD 31 million from the stock market.

The experts believed that in accordance with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), investment in Pakistan has reached to a whole new level while declining oil prices in the international market affected energy sector.
