United States: Ladybug invades Colorado

Tourist season in Colorado is seeing a different kind of visitor. A wet spring and increased foliage has attracted swarms of ladybugs to parts of the state. In an isolated mountain region in Jefferson County, giant red masses of ladybugs have covered the walls of houses and entire trees, turning them red. I can feel one crawling up my leg, inside my pants right now, said Lanae, as the tiny red bugs scrambled up her outstretched hand. She added that a ladybugs death was believed to bring more rainfall the next day. Ladybugs are also supposed to bring good luck and residents dont seem to mind sharing space with these spotted visitors. But they draw the line at tourists.
