Multi-storey tents for pilgrims during Hajj 2019
Multi-storied fire resistant tents will be set up for the pilgrims.
(Web Desk) – Saudia Arabia has always tried to make the hajj pilgrimage as comfortable as possible for Muslim pilgrims coming to the Kingdom for the annual ritual from all over the globe.
Apart from the huge task of hosting and maintenance of millions of people gathered in Makkah and Madinah the administration has been upgrading their apparatus every year for the coming visitors.
This year also in a bid to innovate and improve the lives of the Muslims as a sign of hospitality and universal brotherhood multi-storied fire resistant tents will be set up for the pilgrims.
According to Saudi Gazette, these experimental tent designs will not only solve the problems of congestion and capacity due to huge number of people gathered in Mina but will also look into the storage and safety issues. They can host 8 people per tent who will reside in the upper portion while the lower ground floor will be used for storage and workers.
According the Chairman of the Tufwa establishment Abbas Qattan, ‘This experiment will provide extra accommodation places for eight pilgrims in each tent. This is within the Kingdom’s efforts to upgrade the services being extended to the pilgrims and is also within the efforts to achieve the goals and objectives of the 2030 Vision aimed at increasing the accommodation capacity for the Guests of Allah.”
These tents will explore the vertical heights of Mina in a bid to provide better infrastructure and facilities to the millions embarking on their journey of a life time to fulfill one of the five pillars of Islam.
Qattan explained that the project was studied with the Authority for Development of Makkah and was supported by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Civil Defence.
