Pro-Gaddafi forces pushed rebel fighters back from the key oil port of Brega

Libyan government has said that it is ready to negotiate reforms but only if Moammar Gaddafi is not forced out.Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Kaaim said that the rebels could be added to the political process if they renounce arms struggle.The pro-Gaddafi forces were successfully pushed the rebels at least 20 kilometres out of the oil rich town of Brega, after an attack that spanned over four days. Libyan rebel forces leader Abdul Fatah Younis said that NATO should protect the people from Gaddafi’s forces. He said that due to heavy bombardment by the pro-Gaddafi forces in Brega, the opposition forces had to leave the city.On the other hand, Libyan foreign minister, Musa Kusa, was removed from his post and was replaced by Abdul Ati al-Obeidi.
