(Web Desk) - A man was arrested in Sydney after he allegedly bit off another’s fingers.
According to BBC, the 42-year-old intruder walked into the private function at a pub on Saturday night and tried to steal handbags.
When guests tried to stop him a fight broke out and the intruder managed to sever a 47-year-old man’s fingertip, according to police.
Local media said that the victim’s fingers could not be saved and the intruder was charged by police with an assault offence after he was caught.
Fred Holovinsky, the pub’s license holder said that staff (including a guard) had been present during the incident but it was difficult to control a situation when someone came in with the intent of creating trouble.
This was not the only violence that the pub experienced that night - police were later forced to break up a fight outside the same establishment.
