(Web Desk) – With hatred against Muslims rapidly rising around the world, one Muslim man has won thousands of hearts by returning a stranger’s wallet that he found on a road in London. The man filmed a video of him returning the wallet to its owner and has received widespread praise on social media.
Fast food delivery person Peshraw Ahmed, who works for Bare Grills Fast Food in London, found a wallet lying on a road with credit cards, identification and around 220 pounds in cash. Ahmed decided to return the wallet and filmed the incident, presumably to show the good side of Muslims.
A video posted on social media shows Ahmed going to the house of the person who lost the wallet, Gavin Meldrum. Ahmed was even polite enough to ask Gavin for permission to record the event. Gavin was extremely surprised upon discovering that he was getting back his wallet. As Ahmed told him that he was here to return Gavin’s wallet, he seemed immensely relieved.
Gavin’s family was behind him and seemed equally surprised to have their money returned to them. Gavin expressed his immense appreciation for Peshraw’s kind act and even offered him tea and guitar lessons, which Peshraw politely declined.
Peshraw told Gavin how his religion taught him to return money to its rightful owner. He further explained how a few Muslims were giving a bad reputation to Islam and how if ‘someone from Al-Qaeda found the wallet, it would have never been returned’. Gavin was all praise for Ahmed and explained how him and his famly needed the money. He told Ahmed, “You just saved my life.”
The fast food company Bare Grillz shared the video on its channel. The video has until now been shared more than 9000 times. As expected, the video managed to melt a lot of hearts with people praising Ahmed for his actions.
