Summary Incidents from Charlie Hebdo to Aylan Kurdi's drowning, here are the highlights of the year
(Web Desk) -- Many incidents, varying in their nature and intensity shook the world and made the headlines in 2015. Here is a round-up of the events that took place worldwide:
Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris:

One of the first incidences of 2015, only a week into the New year struck one of the most bloody incidences of the year. The famed satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo who drew caricatures of Holy Prophet (PBUH) was targeted by faction of Al-Qaeda. The shooters, numbering 2, killed 11 and injured another 11 persons.
Germanwings Plane crash:

The widely publicized incident of plane crash differed from other incidents of its kind. Cause of plane crash; co-pilot. The co-pilot, identified as Andreas Lubitz, crashed the aircraft to the ground after locking out the lead pilot. 150 passengers perished due to the crash.
Charlestone Chruch shooting:

Charlestone Church shooting highlighted another ‘lone-wolf’ terrorism incident by a hate-propelled individual. The hate, directed towards African-American community, took 9 lives inside the church. The incident that took place in June prompted a state wide debate on the confederation flag in US.
On-air shooting in Virgina:
A couple, reporter and cameraman, was shot on TV by a man name Vester Flangan. Flangan, a former colleague of the couple committed this crime of hate while the broadcast session was live. Reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward were fatally injured and lost their lives.
European Refugee crisis and Aylan Kurdi:

In one of the most heart-wrenching scenes of 2015, a toddler of Syrian origin named Aylan Kurdi washed ashore, dead from drowning after he fell from a boat. The immigrant issue, plaguing entire Europe, has been one of the highlights of 2015.
Gay-marriage debate:

Same-sex marriage was legalized in America after a Supreme Court ruling in June. The issue sparked a worldwide debate as its proponents demanded same rights for themselves worldwide.
India’s rising intolerance/ beef ban:

India under its newly elected extremist leader Narendra Modi started its tenure under Modi by breaking hitherto unknown barriers of religious extremism. Muslims were targeted like there was no tomorrow, as ban on beef was enforced with the help of gun in parts of country. This sharp rise in violence coincided with peak of victimization of citizens in Indian-held Kashmir.
